Stretchy wrap size
A stretchy wrap comes in only one size. It fits everyone! Your body type does not matter here, and you can simply tie it wherever you end up. So when you are going to buy a stretchy wrap, you don't need to look at the size. You can just order it in your favorite color!
Woven wrap size
For woven wraps, the size is important. The right baby wrap size depends on your body type. The most popular sizes are size 6 and 7. When choosing the size, you should always base it on everyone who will be using the wrap. It is important to base it on the person with the largest clothing size. The other people who carry will then have a bit of excess fabric or can wrap it around them, but you cannot tie a wrap that is too short.
A size 6 wrap is suitable for all women with a clothing size up to 44 and men up to Medium. A size 7 wrap is suitable for all women with a clothing size of 46 or larger and men from size L and up.
Are you in doubt about the baby wrap size?
If you are right between two sizes based on your clothing size, we recommend choosing the larger size. Otherwise, you might fall just short for some knots, which would be a shame! You might be able to make the basic carry, but when making other knots, you could end up with too little fabric. With a baby wrap, it is better to have a little too much fabric than too little.
What is the impact of a very different body type on the baby wrap size?
If you both differ greatly in body type, you can still go for one baby wrap. For example, if the mother wears a size 38 and the father is extra-large, you choose a size 7 as explained. This will be a bit long for the mother. Instead of tying at the back, she can tie the knot at the front. This way, you can easily handle the extra fabric.
