Although we are huge fans of (merino) wool for babies, it is understandable that some parents prefer cotton. Choosing cotton is a great option if you still want a 100% natural and safe material, something breathable for the summer, if there is an allergy to wool, or for other considerations.

Cotton is suitable for all seasons, but people often prefer cotton in the summer. A single layer of this blanket is perfect for summer. When it gets colder, we recommend using cotton in layers of clothing and blankets. Cotton works differently than wool.

Wool regulates temperature optimally, ensuring that warmth is retained when a child is cold. And if a child is warm, it releases that heat. Cotton primarily retains heat. In the summer, one layer is truly enough, but in the winter, a double layer can sometimes be nice.
