Although we are huge fans of (merino) wool for babies, it is understandable that some parents prefer to choose cotton. You might choose cotton if you want 100% natural and safe material, something airy for the summer, in case of a wool allergy, or for other considerations.

Cotton is suitable for all seasons, though people often prefer cotton in the summer. A single layer of this blanket is perfect for summer. If it gets colder, we recommend using cotton in layers of clothing and blankets. Cotton works differently than wool.

Wool regulates temperature optimally and ensures heat is retained when a child is cold. And if a child is warm, it releases heat. Cotton primarily retains heat. In the summer, one layer is truly enough, but in the winter, a double layer can sometimes be nice.
