Although we are huge fans of (merino) wool for babies, it makes sense that some parents prefer to choose cotton. You might choose cotton if you want a 100% natural and safe material, something breathable for the summer, in case of a wool allergy, or for other considerations.

Cotton is suitable for all seasons, though people often prefer to choose cotton in the summer. A single layer of this blanket is perfect for summer. If it gets colder, we recommend layering clothing and blankets when using cotton, as cotton works differently than wool.

Wool regulates temperature optimally, ensuring warmth is retained when a child is cold, and releasing heat when a child is warm. Cotton primarily retains heat. In the summer, one layer is truly enough, but in the winter, a double layer can sometimes be nice.
