Although we are huge fans of (merino) wool for babies, it is logical that there are parents who prefer to choose cotton. You might choose cotton if you want to opt for material that is still 100% natural and safe, something breathable for the summer, in case of a wool allergy, or for other potential considerations.

All seasons

Cotton is suitable for all seasons, but people often prefer cotton in the summer. A single layer of this blanket is perfect for summer. If it gets colder, we recommend using cotton in layers of clothing and blankets. This is because cotton works differently than wool.

Wool regulates temperature optimally and ensures that heat is retained if a child is cold. And if a child is warm, it releases heat. Cotton primarily retains heat. In the summer, 1 layer is therefore really enough, but in the winter, a double layer can sometimes be nice.
